Financial Representative - Investment Advisory - Indianapolis

We are initiating a search for an experienced investment advisor for an established Indianapolis financial institution with a ground floor start up opportunity in investment management services.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to all clients. The position of Financial Representative exists to increase the market share of the BROKERAGE’s and Company’s products and services in the community. The Financial Representative will maximize the member centric sales model and achieve quality growth of new business relationships. The Financial Representative will be responsible for acquiring new business that results in the financial objectives, goals and institutional growth targets established by the Senior Financial Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Representatives will assume responsibility for their own effective sales performance as directed by the Senior Financial Manager:
a. Make assigned number of face-to-face and telephone sales calls per week.
b. Prospects for new clents through active participation at community events, chamber networking activity, employer enrollments, and referrals from other professionals.
c. Identify and profile target member businesses and employer groups for sales presenations.
d. Tracks sales through closing.
e. Meets established sales goals.
f. Ensures that sales accounts are serviced in accordance with Company standards and policies.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good business relations with co-workers, clients, members, businesses, associates, and community leaders.
a. Actively promote the benefits of company membership at all times.
b. Obtains client feedback and continually works to improve products and services.
c. Resolves client requests, complaints, and problems.
d. Conducts sales presentations
e. Promotes goodwill and conveys a positive image of the BROKERAGE and the Company.

Actively communicates between BROKERAGE and Company divisions, departments, and branch offices to ensure efficient daily operations.

Serves as representative in professional, business, and community organizations to promote financial services.

Makes decisions in accordance with applicable government laws, regulations and policies as established by the Board of Directors.

Schedules and assists the Senior Financial Manager in training of the Company employees on the services offered to the membership through the BROKERAGE.

Maintains records and copies of BROKER/DEALER policy renewal dates and premiums along with any other related insurance.

Prepares insurance reports on a monthly basis including, but not limited to, credit insurance penetration and reports to appropriate insurance vendors. Also prepares an accidental death and dismemberment insurance report to insurance vendor.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee will work under the general supervision of the Senior Financial Manager. Daily work assignments are performed independently. Refers to supervisor for assistance to resolve more complex member problems. The work is routinely reviewed for accuracy, timeliness and courtesy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum of two years successful sales experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
As a minimum, must have State of Indiana Property and Casualty insurance license. Series 6 and 7 license optional. Will provide training for any of 4 licenses needed to cover all products and services.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work requires physical mobility within the work area and travel locally and infrequently to other areas within the United States. Because of the wide scope of responsibilities, position is subject to occasional high mental and physical stress. Work is performed in an office or meeting room environment but requires frequent hands-on involvement throughout the entire Company, City and surrounding Counties.
